Milltown National School

  1st and 2nd class were writing some acrostic poems to get ready for Hallowe’en. They worked very hard and we think they are so good… it’s scary!    

  We all enjoyed exploring Maths together for Maths week. The children had great fun working with other classes. Stations were set up in the hall with different Maths activities and the the older children helped the younger children to use Maths in a fun way. [Show picture list]  

  3rd and 4th class made non-Newtonian fluid this week. It is a very interesting substances-when you apply pressure, it acts like a solid but otherwise, it acts like a liquid. It was made using cornstarch and a little water. The children really enjoyed experimenting with it. [Show picture list]
